GOLFER Mark Pearson became Rawdon's hero as the Cookridge Hall professional hammered 2 sixes and 10 fours in a fine knock of 58 not out as he helped steer his side to a six wickets win over Beckwithshaw to maintain his side's title challenge.
With just two games remaining Rawdon and Adel are level on points at the top of the Airedale and Wharfedale League table and the real shoot out could come in the last game of the season when the two sides are set to meet at Rawdon.
Robert Atkinson also had a major role to play for Rawdon with a fine return of 5-56 off 13 overs.
Skipper Bruce Percy is still chasing the thousand runs mark and his 36 took him to an aggregate of 935.
Horsforth are already relegated from Division A but who comes up is not yet decided as Burley have faltered in recent weeks,
They still head the Division B table by six points from Silsden who are a further two points ahead of Collingham.
