Three days after winning at Malham show Keighley and Craven AC's Alfie Atkinson came down to earth on the infamous Kilnsey descent.
The former Crag race winner took a heavy fall while in second place, finally finishing fourth in a race easily won by Bingley's Ian Holmes.
In the handicap flat races Holmes' clubmate Mick Hawkins, off scratch, couldn't make up the 90-odd yards in the handicap mile. He came third with K&C's Sam Wadsworth second behind winner Norman Drinkall. Fourth in the race - and picking up his biggest payday - was Paul Morris with K&C colleagues Neil Bland and Tony Minikin also in the top eight.
Wadsworth capped a good sequence of races by winning the 440 yards. Clubmate Martin Ross was also well-placed in the 440 and the 100 yards sprint.
K&C's Steve Miles beat Morris 'by a nose' to retain his vets' sprint title at Hebden Sports on Monday. Bingley's Mark Kinch claimed the fell race title with Wadsworth coming fourth.
