A former Keighley woman is trying to contact a friend who shared her school days at Keighley Girls' Grammar School in the 1950s.
Pamela Boulding, formerly Wordley, who lives in Canada, would love to hear news of Anne Buckle, who lived in Silsden. The two were classmates from 1950 to 1955. Anne left at the end of the fifth form but Pamela stayed on and went to Hull University to study languages.
While teaching in France Pamela met her future husband, a Canadian, and 34 years ago they went to live in his homeland. The couple have a grown-up son and daughter and are grandparents.
Memories of Pamela's schooldays were stirred recently when her brother Brian, and his wife Christine, still living in Keighley, holidayed in Canada. "She talked particularly of Anne and wondered what had happened to her," says Mr Wordley. "Anne probably has a different name now."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mr and Mrs Wordley on 01535 663084.
