Paul Jewell is looking for his Bradford City side to begin picking up points away from home - starting tomorrow at Ipswich Town.

The Bantams have lost their first two games on their travels this season - at Watford and Crewe - despite creating enough chances to earn maximum points from both outings.

However, buoyed by their first victory of the season at home to Birmingham City last week, City travel full of confident to face an Ipswich side who also picked up their first win of the season seven days ago.

During the summer Jewell insisted that one area his side must improve on was their away form and he said today: "I have been happy with our form away from home but not the results. We have probably created more chances away than at home but not made them pay.

"That must change. To be honest I would much rather go to Ipswich and not play so well but come away with the points.

"Our formation might have to change because Jamie Lawrence is out injured and we don't have a player in his mould to come in on the right."

The City boss believes the victory over Birmingham seven days ago will help boost confidence although he admits it will be a tough game at Portman Road.

"Ipswich got their first win and first goals last week so they will be confident. They are a very good side with lots of pace all over the field. But we are also a good side and have some very good players. It has been frustrating not having a game over the weekend. When you win all you want to do is play again.

"The victory over Birmingham will help confidence but as far as I am concerned it was quite high anyway.

"We may not have been winning but it is my job to maintain the confidence in situations like that. We are moving along the right lines.

"The players are still getting used to each other. A lot is being made of the league positions at the moment but there is a long way to go. Last season should teach us that. Ipswich were struggling until Christmas and Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough were not in the top two after five or six games."
