A Bradford UFO expert has written a script he hopes will be made into a blockbusting science fiction movie.
Russ Kellett, 34, who founded the UFO Research Network - which has branches all over the country - has taken two years to write the supernatural tale, Through the Eyes of an Alien - Once a Human.
He is hoping to find backers to fund the X-Files-style film, about a group of soldiers who are abducted by a UFO.
What makes the achievement of Russ all the more special is the fact that he had battled dyslexia all his life. He also suffers from ME, the chronic fatigue syndrome.
"It's an idea that came to me a few years ago and it's a mixture of famous stories from UFO history, my own experiences and things that I've heard from other people," he said.
"It's a very compelling and eerie tale that will really get everyone talking.
"I've shown the script to a few people and have contacted some independent cinemas and got a really positive response.
"My dream would be to have it shown at an international film festival such as Cannes .
"But the first step will be to make a short film as a pilot and see if any larger companies are interested in taking it on."
The project will be filmed on location in Wales and at the Cow and Calf rocks in Ilkley.
Bradford company Avant-Garde Films is helping to film and produce the piece, and is looking for budding actors and extras to take part.
Production company spokesman Mohsan Kureshi said: "We're currently looking for sponsors for the project and are producing an information pack.
"It's a fantastic opportunity to be involved in what could be a major British science fiction feature film.
"It's a good script based on true stories and there's enough people interested in this kind of thing to really make it a hit."
Mr Kellett said the big challenge is finding ways of financing the project.
"The main problem will be finding the cash to hire equipment such as lighting and props and trying to create the illusion of a UFO using special effects," he said.
"It's been a real challenge writing the script and was often a struggle because I'm dyslexic, but I've had a lot of help from people.
"My main goal now is to secure some funding so we can start filming straight away."
