Yeadon'S promotion hopes have drifted by once more and again they have provided the club with a frustrating season by showing that they can beat the best- such as table topping Cleckheaton - but then lose to those heading for the bottom of the table such as Ben Rhydding.
It is this inconsistency that has cost the Yeadon club promotion over the past two seasons.
Opening batsman Neil Elvidge is still striving to reach the thousand runs mark for the season but he could only make 19 against Salts on Saturday in a game which ended disappointingly for Yeadon when rain prevented the last two overs being bowled with Salts on 101-3 in reply to Yeadon's 206-7.
They had to be content with just the one point which put them out of the promotion race.
Jon Carey produced another good knock of 46 and young Naeem Khan again underlined his value to the side with 52 as Yeadon piled up the runs.
Skipper Damon Gormley has recovered some of his best form and he made 35 as his side finished on 206-7.
Salts lost the early wicket of Williams, caught by Gilks off the bowling of Khan without scoring, but then K Mahmood (13) and A Jones (40 no) steadied things but it was merely a holding project by Salts who were never likely to win and with two overs to go found themselves rewarded with a rainstorm which ended the game with them 105 runs short of the Yeadon total.
Yeadon tried nine bowlers in a bid to dismiss stubborn opponents with Khan the most successful with 2-23 off nine overs.
