Bradford bosses are being given a helping hand to make deals with firms in Spain.
The West Yorkshire Euro Info CentreMesa, which works in partnership with Bradford Council, has organised a half-day seminar to prepare firms for a major exhibition in Spain in November.
The free seminar, called Europartenariat Espana 1998, is at the Bradford Business & Innovation Centre in Listerhills on Friday from 10am.
The event will include presentations by Robin Bussell, the Europartenariat counsellor for England and Wales, and Elsie Fairbanks, the Department of Trade and Industry's export promoter for Spain.
The seminar aims to provide a taster to the main Europartenariat event which runs twice a year in different European cities.
It offers small and medium-sized firms a chance to seek business partners and make contacts.
In November, the region of Valencia on the Mediterranean coast in Spain, will host this major event which is expected to attract hundreds of Spanish companies and more than 2,500 other firms from 80 countries.
The Bradford event forms part of the Europartners project run by Euro Info Centres in Bradford, Leeds, Hull and Sheffield in conjunction with Business Link. Tony Cairns, chairman of Bradford Council's economic strategy sub-committee, said: "This free event aims to give local firms an idea of the opportunities available."
