Bingley men's athletics team stormed to victory in the Yorkshire six man relay at Wakefield.
Matthew Watson took on leg one but was headed at the changeover by Idle-based Ian Fisher of Otley, whose time of 18min 47sec was 16 seconds quicker than the Bingley man.
Former international Colin Moore, who has been in superb form lately, took off on leg two to clock the third fastest time of the day, over a circuit measuring 3.87 miles with 18min 26sec, to put Bingley in a lead they were never to lose.
Martin Peace ran leg three in 19-50 and steeplechaser Mick Hawkins produced a quick 18-34 on leg four to take the pressure off John Cordingley on leg five (19-32).
International Steve Green anchored Bingley home with the joint fastest time of the day 18-22, to give them victory by over two minutes from Rotherham in a total time of 1hr 53min 47sec.
Keighley & Craven's squad were eighth in a creditable 2-02-57 and should be at full strength for the Northern Relays at Don Valley, Sheffield in a fortnight. Bingley's B team were ninth in 2-04-07.
There was disappointment for Bingley women on Saturday where they narrowly failed to clinch promotion to the National League in a track and field play off at Stafford. With the top two team promoted Rugby and District were easy winners.
Cannock and Staffordshire finished second but were relegated to fourth after fielding an ineligible athlete which moved Bingley into third, an agonising seven points behind Scottish club Petrievie.
There were wins for Nicole Crosby in the 200m in 24.3sec to set a new club record and the 400m. Meryl Dodd cruised to victory in the 3,000m in 10-12-7, Leone Dickinson won the high jump with a leap of 1m 60cm and Kelly Brow won the triple jump with 10m 95cm.
Sunday's Yorkshireman Marathon, an off road event from Haworth, was two races in one. The pairs race was taken by Mandale's Brian Roberts and Kevin Carter from Pudsey and Bramley brothers Paul and Phil Sheard. Last year's winners Brian Goodison and John Brooksbank were relegated to fourth this time.
Abbey Runners new recruit Pauline Munro partnered Chris Gibbins to first place in the mixed pairs and the female pairs were headed by Bingley's Mary Green and Patty Cranton.
In the individual event Ilkley's Jason Helmsley secured a fine win, just having the edge over Ian Hill and team-mate Nick Pearce. Sam Wadsworth of Keighley and Craven in fourth must be highly satisfied with his performance after competing in the Yorkshire relays the previous day.
Spenborough's Kath Drake had over five minutes to spare in winning the women's individual title over American Nikki Kimball. Nikki who is holidaying in the area, trains in the Rockies and was very impressed with the event organisation and team spirit shown by her British counterparts in this eighth running of the Keighley and Craven promotion.
The Kirkstall 10km was an easy victory for John Convery, who now runs unattached. The former Leeds City star has almost a minute to spare over Abbey Runners veteran Steve Whetstone.
Mike Mahoney produced a highly respectable time of 42min 27sec to win the over-60 veteran category on a course where times were generally slow. Sue Carriss took the women's award with a 39-33 clocking. The Bingley veteran has raced lightly over the summer and is building up for an assault on the Manchester Marathon next month.
