Bruce Percy skied a catch to midwicket off Mark Thomas to finish the Aire-Wharfe season 18 short of 1000 runs for the season.

But the Rawdon skipper, who will nevertheless finished top of the batting averages for the second year running, is more upset by the loss to rivals Adel, who once more pushed his side into second place in the championship.

An undefeated 95 from Dave Standring took Adel to 163-4 and, despite a sparkling 41, including six fours, from Mark Pearson, Rawdon were dismissed 39 short of their target.

At the other end of Division A, an opening stand of 155 between Russell Newton, who hit a century in 65 balls, and Hayden Tennant (60) put Steeton on course for an eight wicket win over Beckwithshaw and ensured they stay up.

Skipton, who took five points from a draw against Knaresborough, go down with Horsforth just a year after finishing fifth in the league.

Division Two champions Burley finished their campaign with a whimper, beaten by six wickets by re-election seekers Otley. A tight spell of 4-20 by Chris Barlow, well supported by three wickets from Andrew Mitchell, saw Burley bowled out for 170.

That was a target reached only twice this season by Otley but a battling 79 not out from Matthew O'Grady guided them to only their second win of the season.

Skipper John Akrigg hammered 11 fours and seven sixes in an unbeaten 125 to clinch Silsden's eight-wicket win over Follifoot and send them into Division A with Burley.

Mick Taylor (76no) and Deighton Butler (63no) enjoyed a century stand as Follifoot reached 193-4 but Akrigg and his team were determined to make amends for just missing out last season.

Andrew Paley took 6-21 in 16 overs as North Leeds were bowled out for 100 but Guiseley still struggled to clinch the victory, Paley scoring two off the last scheduled ball with only one wicket in hand.

Relegated Horsforth finished with a bit of pride after getting the better of draw against Calverley. Skipper Craig Chaplin (66) and John Statham (68no) put on 57 for the fourth wicket in Horsforth's 188-5. Despite a flourish from Andy Carroll and Steve Alred, the visitors were still 27 short of their target with three wickets left at the close.

Ilkley coach Graham Roope hit a season best 55 not out but the former England Test star still couldn't prevent his side going down to a seven wicket defeat by bottom side Green Lane.

A 16-over spell of 6-61 by Chris Turner helped bowl out Tong Park for 146 to set up a four wicket victory for Addingham.
