One of the country's top rally racers has appeared in Court on a drink-driving charge.
Rachael Simmonite, who races with her sister, Stephanie, appeared before Skipton Magistrates' Court yesterday after an incident in Coniston Cold, Skipton, on July 5.
Simmonite, 24, of Malt Kiln Hall, Thornton, had her case adjourned until October 2.
In July, the Telegraph & Argus revealed how she had been questioned by police over an alleged motoring offence.
Rachael Simmonite declined to comment but her sister said they were waiting to here from the police whether or not any action would be taken.
She and Stephanie have taken the rally world by storm after competing for the first time in the prestigious Network Q RAC Rally in 1994.
