Ben Rhydding Golf Club staged its September Medal with early morning mist and damp conditions not favour ing the morning players.
Division Two winner T Rockett mastered it but Division One winner E Gale had the best conditions to win the Seniors Cup.

Ilkley Ladies
IN Ilkley Golf Club Ladies' Section September Medal Ann Gillon and Maureen Schofield continued their summer of closely-fought matches, this time in the First Division where Ann was successful finishing with 89 (19) 70. Maureen was second with 84 (13) 71
In the Second Division Margaret Pack was the winner with 93 (29) 66 and second was Shirley Metcalfe with 97 (22) 95.
The scratch match play final of the K Salver saw Marilyn Brand beat Pat Wright 3 and 2.
In the Waterhouse Trophy a competition for Past Captains and Past Presidents the winner was this year's President Shirley Metcalfe with 95 (22) 73 and the runner-up was Sue Hatfield with 95 (19) 76.
Trevor qualifies
Representing Ben Rhydding Golf Club Trevor Lockwood went to Slaley Hall GC at Hexham to play in the regional final of the Hall of Fame Golf Competition in aid of Cancer Research.
YOUNG synchronised swimmers from the Horsforth and Yeadon areas were members of the Pudsey Pearls Synchronised Swimming
Club which made its mark at the open event staged by Kippax Kippers.
Trevor, a five-handicap golfer from
Burley-in-Wharfedale, won the com petition by four shots from his nearest rival from Blackpool.
He now goes forward to play in the Grand Finals at The Belfrey in October.
The competition will be played over two days on the famous Brabazon Courses.
Rebecca Edmondson was tenth in Grade 2 while her sister Amy was ninth in the Grade 1 figures and fourth in the solo routine.
Laura McLeod was tenth in the Grade 1 figures while Bethany Hardisty was 11th.
Jenna Scott was 12th in Grade 3. The Pudsey Pearls Grade 1 and 2 team came fifth out of the eight clubs competing.
