A Keighley couple are ringing the cash tills for Manor-lands.
Ken and Chris Weston raised £348 for the Sue Ryder hospice through a sale and auction at the Greater Yorkshire Phone-card Fair in Elland on Saturday.
The couple, from Hainworth Wood Road, launched their fundraising venture last December when they appealed through the Keighley News for donations of unwanted phone-cards. The cards are sold to dealers and collectors, with all proceeds to the Oxenhope cancer-care home.
Mr and Mrs Weston thank everyone who donated phonecards for Saturday's event - which attracted collectors from all over the country - and they are appealing to the public to maintain its support.
They are now preparing for the next fair in January, and will be offering cards for sale at the monthly meetings of the West Riding Phonecard Club.
Ken, a driver/despatcher with the Bradford Out-of-Hours Doctors Service, says: "We are asking people to keep saving and passing on their used phonecards - it doesn't matter what sort they are."
Chris, a home-care assistant, began collecting phonecards as a hobby more than eight years ago. Phonecard collectors wanting to know what's on offer can contact the couple on 01535 606103 or at 104 Hain-worth Wood Road, Keighley BD21 5DR. Anyone wishing to donate cards should use the same contact point, or send them to the Manorlands app-eals office at 804 Little Horton Lane, Bradford BD5 9DG.
