A new face has joined the council team responsible for helping local people get involved in the life of their communities.
Lynn Taylor, the town's new assistant area co-ordinator, will help bring together residents and Bradford council departments. She will also set up projects to help local people and seek residents' views on council initiatives.
She will also share the chairing of Keighley's 13 neighbourhood for-ums with her boss Patrick Lawton and community development officer Jeff Bennett.
Leeds woman Lynn, 33, will work across the whole town but concentrate on Lawkholme, Woodhouse, Spring Bank, Ingrow and Oakworth. She says: "I don't know Keighley yet, but I'm looking forward to learning about the town and its people. My role is to act as a bridge between the council and the people, helping the council consult more and getting local people involved in decision-making."
Lynn, who is married with a three-year-old daughter, grew up in Macclesfield then took a social policy degree in Leeds. She worked for six years in the voluntary sector, helping church organisations in inner city Leeds.
, then spent five years with Leeds social services department working on Care in the Community issues.
