Paul Jewell writes: We didn't play particularly well in the first half and Halifax were probably on top.
I was not happy when we went 1-0 down but we again showed great character to come back so quickly.
I think we are developing some healthy competition here and that is what every manager wants.
Football is a crazy game at times. Goals change games and we were just getting on top when the penalty game. Thankfully the decision went our way for the penalty.
It was a big disappointment for Kieran (O'Regan, Halifax boss) and Halifax. We were the recipients of a bit of luck. On another day it might not have been the case.
For Halifax's penalty a couple of our lads have said Hanson was offside. But regardless of that, Gary Walsh has held his hand up and said he should not have come for it. Some referees might have sent him off.
You need a bit of luck in this game but we played very well in the second half. You have to give Halifax credit as they are a very good side. We would probably have lost this game last season but the character is very good in this team now.
