A jilted lover came up with a dirty way to get back at his girlfriend after she two-timed him.

Two days after they split up, he popped a naked photo of her into an envelope and posted it to her parents.

When the mother opened it, she was shocked and disgusted to see her 21-year-old daughter in the Polaroid picture, on which was written: "The first of many.''

She began to cry and shake uncontrollably, prosecutor Graham Anderson told Bradford magistrates.

Hours after the brown envelope landed on their doormat, the sender was spoken to by the police.

He said he was so upset about the break-up of their three-year relationship that it was "doing his head in'' and he hadn't eaten for days.

He told them: "It was a stupid thing to do and I am sorry.''

The 29-year-old computer worker, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to sending a letter with intent to cause distress. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £50 costs.

Amanda McInnes, mitigating, said the couple's romance ended when he confronted his girlfriend about her relationship with one of his friends.

"The break-up was very upsetting,'' she added. "He was upset and dismayed and betrayed.''

He regretted bitterly what he did and accepted that he acted in a very foolish manner. He now accepted the relationship was over and had moved away.
