A second Keighley teenager is to travel to Kenya to help with wildlife conservation and research work.
Faith Quigley, of Bar House Lane, Utley, will spend four weeks on a Yorkshire Schools Exploring Society expedition next summer.
The Keighley News revealed several weeks ago how her friend Ros Mollard would travel to the African country at the same time.
Faith, 16, a student at Skipton Girls' High School, is working to raise £2,000 towards the cost of the trip. She will fly to Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, then travel either by train or truck to work on field projects near the coastal city of Mombassa, as well as taking a camel trek.
She says: "It's a one-in-a-million opportunity. I've always wanted to go Africa and I like outdoor pursuits."
Faith is organising fundraising activities such as a car boot sale and sponsored event, and is asking local firms for sponsorship.
Faith and Ros will hold a dance evening at school as well as making and selling Christmas cards.
Anyone who can help Faith should phone her on 01535 681015. The car boot sale will be at Beckfoot School, Bingley, on Sunday.
