Keighley could soon be playing host to one of the largest collections of vintage buses in the country.
Keighley Bus Museum, currently based at Denholme Gate, has made a bid to the National Heritage Lottery fund to buy part of the now defunct Transperience collection in Bradford.
Spokesman Graham Mitchell told Tuesday's meeting of Keighley and Haworth Tourism Management Group that the museum was hoping to hear of the heritage fund's decision any day now.
"If we are successful, it would increase the number of vehicles we have to 40," he said. He added that the museum was also on the look-out for new premises close to Keighley town centre.
