Keighley knitters are setting up a group for like-minded 'crafters'.
Carol Rickards and Helen Jordan want to start a local branch of the Knitting and Crochet Guild. The group's first monthly meeting will be held on Thursday and will feature a look at the work of Elizabeth Zimmerman.
Carol says the group is open to anyone interested in knitting or crochet, whether or not they have any experience.
Carol says the guild is trying to set up more local groups as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations. Thursday's meeting will be from 7-9pm at Keighley Women's Centre, 182 Skipton Road (opposite Cliffe Castle gates). Admission is £1.50. Carol and her husband Jeffrey are well-known locally for their hand-spinning skills, which help them raise money for Airedale Hospital.
