Keighley youngsters are wanted to take part in an award to find those with the most community spirit.
Those selected to take part in the final of the Lions Club International award will receive £500 - and the outright winner £1,000.
The aim of the scheme, sponsored by the international news agency Reuters, is to recognise, encourage and support young people who are actively involved in community service work.
It can include helping disabled people and the elderly, aiding crime prevention or promoting a healthier lifestyle.
Lions youth award officer Neil Redman, of Keighley, said: "We are trying to get young people who do good to enter because they don't usually get much recognition.
" They can get a lot out of this."
First they must demonstrate a commitment to their community and are then interviewed by a panel of three judges.
Next stage is selection to represent one of the 13 Lions districts - including Keighley - at the multiple districts final next February.
The winners must spend their bursaries on the community service projects in which they are involved, said Mr Redman.
To enter, candidates must not be older than 18 on or before March 1, 1999. They have to be sponsored by a Lions club based in the British Isles and Ireland but not their own club.
Anyone wanting an application form and a list of rules should contact Mr Redman on (01535) 609071.
