Winning contract carpet deals has helped a Bradford carpet sales and fitting firm expand into additional premises at a business park in the city.
Leeds Road Carpets, which was started as a one-man business by owner Ralph Christie, has taken up space in the Low Moor Business Park on Huddersfield Road.
The firm, which started at Mr Christie's home in Headingley, moved to a lock-up shop in Leeds Road in 1984 and made a second move to larger premises in Thornbury in 1991 which is still its headquarters.
Since then the company has expanded and won contract carpet deals with Bradford-based Yorkshire Co-operatives.
The firm, which had five workers when it just occupied the Leeds Road shop and warehouse, has taken on an extra two staff with the move to Low Moor and Mr Christie has plans to take on more staff.
The company has already fitted carpets at Yorkshire Co-operative's Foodfair stores in Saltaire, Thornton, Sheffield and York.
Mr Christie started work at 16 as one of the first people to benefit from the Enterprise Allowance scheme which was set up to encourage young people to set up businesses.
