THE Leeds Cricket League will see a change in format next season after an exodus of clubs.
Esholt, Old Modernians, Carlton and East Leeds have resigned with Esholt having been elected to the Bradford League at last Thursday's meeting.
Division Two champions Pool and runners-up Otley Town will be promoted along with Caribbean to form a ten club First Division.
The Second Division is expected to be made up to ten teams with the arrival of Ben Rhydding who resigned from the Bradford League.
Old Modernians have joined the Wetherby League.
In order to maintain a 22 fixture season there will be a four week mid-season period when inter-divisional games will be played against two clubs on a home and away basis.
Wherever possible these games will be derbies and the points gained will count towards the championship.
