Holders Rimington crashed out of the Craven Football League's Northern Plant Hire Challenge Trophy in the First Round, the Premier side losing 4-2 to Division One side Carleton.
And Barrowford from Division Two defeated Premier side Cononley 2-1 and Bronte Wanderers also from Division Two beat Division One side Gargrave 5-1. Ilkley Juniors Youth from Division Three held Division One side Grindleton to 2-2 after 90 minutes and extra time but went out on penalties 5-3 and Premier champions Embsay had to struggle all the way against Division Four champions Sutton to win 2-1.
Cowling had a narrow home win against lowly opposition in Barnoldswick United who are two divisions lower, eventually winning 3-2 after extra time. Horton put up a good battle against Grassington only to go down 3-2.
The rest of the results went the way of the bigger clubs, with Premier sides to the fore. Addingham defeated Clitheroe 5-2 and Keighley overcame Skipton LMS 6-1. Oxenhope had a 7-2 margin over Lothersdale, Silsden coasted to a 6-0 victory over West Bradford and Colne Cricket Club beat Settle 6-1.
Division One side Skipton Town eventually overcame Division Three side Waddington 5-1 but not without a spirited performance from Waddington and in the all Division One clash Hellifield overcame Intake 7-2.
In a Premlinary Round game Earby were no match for Premier side Haworth going down 8-1.
The Round Two draw is: Barrowford v Hellifield; Carleton v Haworth/Bradley; Embsay v Oxenhope; Grindleton v Grassington; Cross Hills/Skipton Bulldogs v Cowling; Colne Cricket Club v Bronte Wanderers; Addingham v Silsden; Skipton Town v Keighley.
A few league matches were played, with in Division One Bradley beating Haworth 6-1.
In Division Two Silsden had a 5-0 victory over Addingham, Skipton Bulldogs defeated Keighley 1-0 thanks to a last-minute goal and Skipton LMS also won 1-0 against Embsay.
In Division Three Colne Cricket Club narrowly overcame Cononley 2-1 and Grassington and Bradley drew 2-2 and Grindleton and Hellifield drew 4-4. Intake had a 3-1 win over Skipton Town.
This Saturday sees First Round matches in the West Riding County Challenge Cup and Challenge Trophy with a number of Craven League clubs involved. In the Challenge Cup Skipton Town make the long trip to Meltham, Huddersfield, while there are home ties for Skipton LMS against Thorne Colliery, Oxenhope against Sherburn White Rose, Silsden against Selby RSSC and Skipton Bulldogs against Midgley United. Addingham face a trip to Rothwell Stones.
In the Challenge Trophy there is an all Craven League clash at Haworth where Horton are the visitors. Grassington travel to Bardsey, Silsden made the trip over to Pontefract Borough while Sutton entertain Overthorpe from the Spen Valley League. Cross Hills go up to the wilds of Slaithwaite where they will meet Slaithwaite United and Bradley are at home to Altofts.
