Paul Jewell writes: When you go to Sunderland, you know it is going to be difficult so to come away with a point is pleasing.
There weren't that many chances in the game and that is a big compliment to our back four.
I thought the move where Stuart McCall flicked the free kick up for Robbie Blake was very unlucky not to result in a goal. We tried it earlier in the season and it would have been nice if the ball had gone in.
We tried to attack Sunderland. We also matched them for workrate. We didn't set our sights on just a point and that was shown by us playing with four players who I believe are attacking minded.
Gordon Watson is still finding his feet after the injury so I brought him off in the hope that a bit of pace might open them up.
We were never as bad as some people were making out at the start of the season. The way we matched Sunderland all over the park was the most pleasing aspect from this game.
