Organisers of an Otley Green Fair say plans for the event in 1999 are gathering pace.
Last held in 1997, the fair is devoted to green issues and promoting awareness of the environment not only globally, but in Wharfedale.
Next year the event will take place in Otley's Civic Centre on March 20, when a wide variety of campaigning groups, alternative therapists, local interest groups and health workshops will be on offer.
Karen Brockbank, a member of the group behind Otley Green Fair, said: "We've always had a good response when we have held previous fairs.
"They've been successful and popular. In fact when we didn't hold one last year, we were inundated with 'phone calls asking us if it would be going ahead."
Otley Town Council is backing the fair by providing a grant which will help pay for the Civic Centre and other essentials.
The event itself is non-profit making, and any surplus cash will be donated to charities - past beneficiaries have included tree planting on Otley Chevin and rain forests.
Mrs Brockbank said: "We've just really got going on the planning and some things are a bit up in the air but we hope it will be just as successful as two years ago."
They also hope to feature plenty for the whole family, including children's entertainment, videos and food.
