Bradford City fans, notorious for their moaning, now really do have something to grouse about - the cancellation of the Great Yorkshire Grumbling Competition.
It was due to take place tonight at the Old Station Inn, Giggleswick, near Settle, but with only one challenger, four members of Bradford City's Moaners Corner - runners-up last year - the event's been silenced.
Moaning Mark Neale, one of the Moaners Corner grousers, said: "We've plenty to grumble about now.
"City are doing well this year so unfortunately we've been running out of things to grumble about."
Fed-up Dave Pendleton, who edits City Gent, the Bradford City Fanzine, said: "We felt disgraced that we didn't win last year and I've taken a day off work to prepare this year's script. It looks like we'll just have to go out for a drink instead."
Winner last year was Settle estate agent Trevor Graveson - who refused to defend his title because he got browned-off with the media asking him for a quote as Yorkshire's biggest grumbler.
Old Station Inn landlady Elaine Simpson said: "It's a big disappointment - last year's event was excellent. We had such fun. It looks like last year's first competition is now the last."
Moaners Corner is a section of the Kop at Valley Parade where the group stand. After last year's runner-up prize Mark Neale, Dave Pendleton, Philip Walker and Mike Harrison, went on to appear on Radio 5 as part of Bradford Festival Centenary Celebrations and also on local television and radio.
