CYCLISTS from Keighley-based clubs are to stage a bike safety protest on a killer stretch of road this weekend.
Hundreds of cyclists from across the region are expected to join them on the A59 near Skipton where there have been two fatal accidents this year.
Callum Kirkpatrick, 26, from Bradley died in September following an accident at the junction of the Gargrave road, near the Bull Inn at Broughton.
A second rider, David Ayles, was killed just a few hundred yards away at the junction with Heslaker Lane, which leads to Carleton.
"New road layouts have led to increased speeds and there could be more serious accidents if action is not taken," said organiser Stephen Kane.
Cyclists should meet on Heslaker Lane at 11am.
