Bradford Bulls Mike Forshaw finally gets another chance to press his claims for a regular Great Britain slot tonight after being named on the bench for the third and final Test with New Zealand at Watford.
Forshaw, who made two substittute appearances against the Aussies last year, has had to bide his time this term after being omitted for the first Two matches in the series.
But his selection comes at the expense of Odsal colleague Harvey Howard who is axed.
Utility forward Terry Newton, who was playing Second Division rugby four months ago, will make debut.
The call-up of the Leeds Rhinos' former Academy international as hooker is one of three changes to the side that lost 36-16 in the second Test a week ago to concede the three-match series to the Kiwis.
All four players struggling with injury - Iestyn Harris, Adrian Morley, Keiron Cunningham and Paul Newlove - failed fitness tests yesterday and coach Andy Goodway has dropped prop forward Neil Cowie. Terry O'Connor is drafted into the front row at the expense of his Wigan team-mate and St Helens utility back Sean Long will make his first full Test appearance at stand-off in the absence of Harris.
The elevation of Long means that Goodway will have used all 23 players in his squad with the exception of Morley, whose ankle injury was obviously more serious than the British management acknowledged. That is in stark contrast to the Kiwis, whose coach Frank Endacott has been able to keep the same starting line-up for all three matches.
Great Britain: Radlinski; Robinson, Connolly, Senior, Cummins; Long, Smith; O'Connor, Newton, Laughton, Joynt, Sculthorpe, Farrell. Subs: Fleary, Forshaw, Haughton, Gilmour.
New Zealand: Barnett; Hoppe, K Iro, Wiki, Halligan; R Paul, Jones; Vagana, Eru, Pongia, McCracken, Kearney, Swann. Subs: H Paul, Smith, Cayless, Puletua.
