Planning officers have asked us to provide clarification about last week's report of proposed residential development on land next to Vale Mills, Oakworth.
On Thursday, November 5, Keighley planning sub-committee considered an outline planning application for proposed development on the Vale Mill Lane site. The plan was recommended by planning officers for refusal.
Outline planning consent was not approved, as we reported. The application was actually referred to the council's transportation, planning and design committee for further consideration. Officers were asked to provide the committee with more information on the possibility of using money gained from the new housing development to repair Vale Mills which is a grade II listed building.
