Rosse reached the second round of the Wharfedale Senior Cup, despite living dangerously against Maguires.
Maguires missed a host of chances and saw John Walker score a last minute goal, on he debut, to put Rosse through.
Bolton Villas enjoyed a comfortable Sunday Cup win in a game spoiled by a poor pitch at JPL. Leighton Shackleton and Lee Stringer scored first half goals to pull back to 4-2, but further goals killed off the game.
Darren Marshall and Jeff Knipe scored two each supported by Darren Cash, Scott Wilson and Nigel Long.
Woodend Rovers had six different scorers in their 6-1 win over Ring o Bells Reserves. Phil Rhodes, Simon Marriott, Anthony Grogan, Neil Shaw, Charles White and Steve Brewer were in the thick of the goal scoring action.
Victoria Hotel carried their league form into the cup with a 4-2 victory over Silsden's Bridge Inn. With the score locked 1-1 at the break the match could have gone either way, but Victoria scored three in the second half. Scorers were Tony Cooper, Naresh Patel and Paul Mitchell (2).
In the only Premier League game Ring o Bells secured a 12-2 victory over Cricketers Arms. Although only 3-0 up at the break Rings made their second half pressure count with nine more goals. Paul Rushworth led the way with five goals, Paul Langhorn scored four with further goals from Paul Grimshaw, Jonathan Atwell and Chris Ainsworth.
Springfield continued their recent good form in Division One with a comfortable 5-3 win at home to Broadford Plant. After leading 2-0 at the break Rob Dunn completed another hat-trick supported by two from Wayne Yates in the second half. Danny Burke, Steve Plumb and Ian Thirkill replied for Broadford.
Allerton kept up the pressure at the top with an easy win at Carters 98 by 7-1. Darren Burns scored four supported by Paul Simmonite, Paul Gough and Nigel Foster.
