Well-known landscape art-ist Arthur Craven is giving up his Keighley town-centre gall-ery but will continue his many other artistic endeavours.
The Craven Gallery in Scott Street will remain open and host at least one exhibition by Arthur each year.
The gallery will be run by Ted Small, who owns the building and runs Small Office Supplies in the shop beneath. The change-over has been prompted by the retirement of Arthur's wife Evelyn, who has run the gallery on a day-to-day basis.
Arthur will continue to paint at his home in Haworth, and his regular class for local painters will move to St Mark's Church in Utley. Arthur also plans to carry on framing pictures, giving art demonstrations and hosting painting holidays in the Yorkshire Dales.
He has just released his sixth 'paintalong' video, focussing on coastal watercolours, and is likely to continue making such films.
Mr Craven announced the change-over plans during the launch of his Christmas exhibition at the gallery last week.
Dozens of Arthur's popular landscapes will be on show and sale alongside pictures by his favourite local artists.
