Security lights could be fitted to deter burglars from targeting pensioners' homes in a crime-hit part of the Bracken Bank estate.
Lights are just one suggestion for improving the lives of elderly residents of bungalows in Harewood Road and Harewood Rise. Funding is likely to be available from Keighley's £18.7 million Single Regeneration Budget.
Ward councillors Steve Thomas and John Prestage plan to talk to residents of the 100-plus bungalows about their needs. High on the 'wants' list is likely to be security measures at the rear of the properties, which is dominated by dark wasteland. The pensioners have called for action to stop vandalism.
