Dunfermline's assistant manager Dick Campbell is predicting Edinho will become a firm favourite with fans at East End Park.

Edinho, on loan from Bradford City, set up the Pars' equalising goal for Andy Tod against Dundee United before Scott McCulloch's free-kick secured all three points in a 2-1 win yesterday.

Campbell said: "Edinho is obviously going to be a favourite with the fans. They'll love some of his nice touches and he did very well for us.

"His cross for the first goal was excellent but everyone played well and we thoroughly deserved our win after so many weeks of draws."

Edinho also had United keeper Sieb Dykstra at full stretch in the 24th minute to stop a low bullet-shot from 25 yards.

Two minutes later Edinho showed his skills by sending over a perfect cross. Tod was waiting to nod it back into the far corner of the net past Dykstra's outstretched hand.
