A 25-year-old man has been arrested following the death of Bradford restaurateur Nissar Ahmed.
He was taken by murder squad officers to Dewsbury Police Station last night.
The man - who is not being named - was being interviewed by police about the death.
A spokesman said the arrest was made in Dewsbury yesterday afternoon.
A major police investigation was launched following the discovery of a severed leg and intestines near woodland in Briestfield Road, Dewsbury last Friday.
Police later confirmed the body parts belonged to Mr Ahmed, 34, a father of six from West Bowling.
He had been reported missing by his family when he failed to turn up for work.
The limb was discovered in two supermarket carrier bags. About 6 ft away was as white bin liner containing his intestines.
But detectives made a major breakthrough yesterday with the recovery of Mr Ahmed's car in Rufford Street, Bradford.
The cul de sac was cordoned off as house to house inquiries were made.
Mr Ahmed's brother Iftikhar Hussain has said he believes a mystery grudge could be behind the murder.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room on (01924) 431081.
