Two Bradford men were being questioned today in connection with the death of Bradford restaurant owner Nissar Ahmed.
The men, aged 41 and 44, are being held at Dewsbury Police Station after their arrest yesterday afternoon.
Zahid Iqbal, 30, of Brooklyn Road, Cleckheaton, has already appeared in court charged with the murder of 34-year-old Mr Ahmed, of New Cross Street, West Bowling. He was remanded in custody until Friday.
Detectives started a murder inquiry after an off-duty police officer walking her dog, found dismembered parts of Mr Ahmed's body in carrier bags in woodland off Briestfield Road in Dewsbury on Friday, November 13. His severed leg and intestines were found in two supermarket bags.
Mr Ahmed, a married father-of-six, was last seen alive in Manningham, Bradford, after he gave a lift home to a member of his restaurant staff in the early hours of Friday morning.
His car was recovered four days later in Rufford Street, Bradford Moor.
More body parts were uncovered in Lepton and Holme, both near Huddersfield, and Copley and Elland, both near Halifax. An underwater search unit from Derbyshire police also recovered remains from a reservoir near Glossop.
