Bradford Bulls coach Matthew Elliott today backed popular Aussie centre Danny Peacock to make a full recovery from a career threatening knee injury.
Peacock needed complex surgery after sustaining cruciate ligament damage against London Broncos at the end of May.
Elliott has been monitoring Peacock's progress in Australia and has been heartened by both his physical condition and mental toughness.
He said: "Danny is running again and because of the type of guy he is I have every confidence he will come back as strong as ever.
"His career has been littered with injury but he is such a quick healer and a fighter that he has always bounced back."
Peacock arrives back in Bradford on Friday to steps up his rehabilitation programme alongside Paul Anderson and Warren Jowitt.
Elliott added: "The latest medical opinion is that players who have knee reconstructions like Danny, Paul and Warren do not regain full fitness for around 14 months.
"It's an advantage for us that they sustained their injuries early in the season and while they still have work to do the signs are very encouraging."
