Would-be model Jenny Wadding-ton has taken her first steps into the world of high fashion.
Jenny, 21, was the winner of our search for a Model competition at our fashion show at Victoria Hall this autumn. As a result of her achievement, she has now strutted her stuff on a modelling course courtesy of Leeds-based model agency Catwalk.
Jenny, of Bogthorn, Oakworth, learned the secrets of make-up appliance, posture and the famous catwalk strut.
She was also given some helpful hints and advice on the perfect hairstyle for her by a Saks hairstylist and was told what to expect from a career in modelling by the experts.
Catwalk course tutor Belinda Alexander says: "Jenny has a lovely figure and a really sweet personality. I think she has the potential for some photographic and modelling work, although we never guarantee such promises to our models."
Jenny says: "Catwalk had everything brilliantly arranged and the agency knew exactly what it was doing and talking about. It was a great day."
The next step for Jenny is a trip to Manchester to have photographic index cards made. These cards will then be sent round to Catwalk's clients. The photos will go into a portfolio which she must compile.
Keighley News editor Malcolm Hoddy says: "We are delighted that the winner of one of our contests has been able to take advantage of a great offer from Catwalk. As the agency stresses, they can never give any guarantees. But we wish Jenny all the best for the future."
