DORA CONNOLLY led the Keighley challenge at the British Schools cyclo-cross North East Champions last weekend.
The event was held in the grounds of Temple Newsome Estate at Leeds and dora (left) a pupil at Bronte School, won the Under-15 title.
Over 100 top riders took part in the event ranging from Under-9's to Under-15's.
Other local riders taking part were Mark Holden (Bronte) in the Under-13's, Samuel Clegg (Bronte) and Craig Hardman (Bronte) under-11's.
n The final event in the Bronte School hill climb championship was held on Wednesday night on Station road, Oakworth.
Results were: 1 Sam Clegg (1min 24secs), 2 Bryn Price (2.01), 3 (tie) Jonathan Binney & Tim Charlton (2.02), 5 Ryan Ettenfield (2.05), 6 Ralph Connolly (2.10), 7 Simon Wright (2.35), 9 Craig Hardman (2.38), 10 Katie Scargill (2.46), 11 Paul Ling (2.53).)
After nine Championship events the overall results are:
Handicap Championship: 1 Jonathan Binney (24 points), 2 Mark Holden (19), 3 (tie) Sam Clegg & Ralph Connolly (18).
Under-11's: 1 Ralph Connolly (34), 2 Ryan Ettenfield (26), 3 Craig Hardman (15).
Under-13: 1 Sam Clegg (46), 2 Jonathan Binney (39), 3 Bryn Price (35). 1st girl: Katie Scargill (8Pts).
Overall Championship result: 1 Sam Clegg (64 points), 2 Jonathan Binney (58), 3 Bryn Price (46).
