TOP drivers will be out in force for tomorrow's 'Signagraphic Stages Rally' -- organised by Keighley and District Motor Club.
Only days after the completion of Network Q event, the Keighley Club will keep the rally action in top gear with their event at the former Aintree Grand Prix circuit.
Ford's works rally team are expected to line up at the event, but the cars are not expected to be piloted by their regular drivers.
Rumours in the rally world suggest that top pop performers will be among the drivers, but officials of the Keighley club are keeping tight-lipped about plans for big name drivers to take part.
The event is a qualifying round of the 8D34 rally and inter-club league championships.
The entry list was over subscribed and includes a host of top tarmac rally drivers in a string of superfast rally cars, including numerous Escort Cosworths.
The Keighley Club have worked very hard with Blackpool Motor Club to organise the event.
The rally starts tomorrow morning (Saturday) and continues throughout the day. Although spectators are not allowed the club still requires marshalls and anyone who wants to help should contact Chris Nightingale on 01535-647869.
Entries include last year's 'Signagraphic' winner Bambos Charamalambos in an Escort Cosworth and Tony Janetta also in a Cosworth. Others include: Nigel Hobson, Tony Lynch, Dave Burns, Ken Murray, Jeff Roberts, Duncan Taylor, Chris Platt and Andrew Apperly.
