Albion Under-16's set off badly in this visit to South Leeds letting 4 tries in during the first 15 minutes before they started to show some class themselves by stifling all Hunslet drives. Jeff Beale and Robert Littler were especially strong in both attack and defence.

The constant pressure paid off with a Danny Holland break taking him inches short of the line and then Andy Broughton forced his way over. James Young added the conversion to make the half-time score 22-6.

Immediately after the break both sides cancelled each other out but this stalemate was broken after 10 minutes when Hunslet scored the first of 4 tries in that half. In reply Jeff Beale forced his way over in the corner in the last minute to put some respectability to the scoreline. Next week Albion are at home to Doncaster.
