Charles Trevor Simpson, of 42 Aire View, Silsden, was ordered to pay £130 for speeding.

John Hutchinson, of 8 Grange Road, Riddlesden, was ordered to pay £100 for speeding.

David Hiam, of 1 Highfield Terrace, Cullingworth, was ordered to pay £240 for driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident.

Peter Alfred St Julien, of 5 Alpha Street, Keighley, was jailed for 28 days for stealing two pairs of jeans and breaching a conditional discharge order.

Richard McDonald, of 252 Skipton Road, Utley, was jailed for a total of 148 days for assaulting Jamie Henry Oxley and committing an offence while subject to a prison-recall order.

Gary Kevin Blakey, of 4 Lynwood Court, Keighley, was ordered to pay £100 for failing to produce a car insurance certificate.

Sajid Mahmood Khan, of 65 Drewry Road, Keighley, was ordered to pay £120 for possessing cannabis.

Jonathan Mark Wilkinson, of 2 Burley Court, Steeton, was ordered to pay £285 including £216 compensation and put on probation for 12 months for being drunk, resisting a police officer and two charges of assaulting two women.

Sharon Richardson, of 25 Braithwaite Drive, Keighley, was jailed for 42 days for assaulting James Richardson causing actual bodily harm.

Brendan Paul Wainwright, of 14 Lustre Street, Keighley, was ordered to pay £220 for driving a car without a licence or test certificate and failing to provide documents.

James Aubrey, of 26 Canberra Drive, Cross Roads, was ordered to pay a total of £130 for a series of motoring offences including driving without insurance, failing to produce documents and having an illegal tyre.

Steven Cullen, of 53 Skipton Road, Keighley, was put on probation for 12 months for possessing two wraps of heroin.

Thomas McEvoy Porteous Devlin, of 249 West Lane, Braithwaite, was ordered to pay £60 and conditionally discharged for 12 months for stealing an iron gate.

Wayne Lee Dorricott, of Flat 4, 167 North Dean Road, Braithwaite, was ordered to pay £60 and conditionally discharged for 12 months for possessing a quantity of amphetamine.

Zehroon Razad, of 12 Buxton Street, Keighley, was ordered to pay £100 for driving without due care and attention and failing to produce documents. He was ordered to pay £150 for similar offences on other dates.

Kenneth Dixon, of Holden Gate Farm, Holden Lane, Silsden, was ordered to pay £265 for driving a tractor on the Aire Valley Trunk Road without insurance and failing to produce an insurance certificate.

Louise Margaret Rees, of 2 Farra Street, Oxenhope, was ordered to pay a total of £150 for speeding and not wearing a seat belt.

Neil James Vinter, of 39 Claymore Rise, Keighley, was ordered to pay £50 and put on probation for 12 months, and ordered to attend a drugs group-work programme for supplying 0.4 gramme of heroin.

Parvaz Iqbal, of 1 Sefton Place, Keighley, was ordered to pay £120 and serve 50 hours community service for possessing cannabis and receiving stolen goods.

A major crackdown on dog fouling in the Craven area resulted in convictions at Skipton Magistrates Court this week.

Eight people were due to appear before the court on Tuesday charged with offences under the new dog fouling laws, although only four cases were heard.

In each case the defendant denied a charge of failing to remove faeces deposited by a dog in their charge. Found guilty were Trevor Snell, 57, of West Lane, Sutton, and Kevin Hopkinson, 47, of Regent Crescent, Skipton. Hopkinson was fined £50 and ordered to pay £106.25 in costs.

A case against Jayne Smith, of Prospect Road, Burley-in-Wharfedale, was dismissed after she was found not guilty. Smith was awarded £300 costs.

The court also found Clive Eager not guilty.
