A group of travellers has been ordered by police to move from the roadside near the former Transperience Discovery Park.
But it has sparked off a war of words between Bradford Council and the gipsies on whether enough is being done to find travellers a permanent place to stay.
The gipsies say they have asked for places on the Council's official sites.
Kathleen Ward, who is in one of the caravans in Transperience Way, said: "We went down to the Council last week and they said it was full. We wanted to be put on the waiting list but they told us we couldn't for six months."
But Bradford Council denies their claims..
A spokesman for the Gipsy Liaison Unit said: "We have checked our records and none of the gipsies camped in Transperience Way are on the waiting list for our official sites.''
He added that none of the them had ever requested a place on the site or asked to discuss the provision of extra sites.
"Last month, when the same people were parked on the George Street car park, a place became available on the Esholt site. It was offered to each family but nobody wanted to take it. The pitch has now been filled."
About six of the caravans which were originally camped there have now moved on, with about a dozen remaining. And owners of the former Transperience site Ogden Properties Ltd says it has now secured a road closure order to prevent further problems.
But gipsies living in Beech Road, Undercliffe, are still causing a headache to people in nearby houses. The travellers have been there since last Thursday after they were evicted from a car park owned by Arnold Laver DIY in Canal Road.
One resident who asked not to be named said: " I am trying to sell my house, but you can't show prospective buyers around when the gipsies are parked outside.''
