Bradford schools grabbed four of the eight titles in the West Yorkshire Schools Table Tennis Championships at Armley Sports Centre, Leeds.
And among the title-winners were Lady Lane Park School ,who have been bidding to win a championship for a number of years.
Their under-11 team came good when it mattered. Joshua Sharp, Sam Cordingley, Alex Pue and Henry Boocock combined well.
They showed great promise as they won two qualifying matches before beating Sandal Endowed School, Leeds 5-3 in a well-contested final.
Bradford Girls' Grammar's Under-13 team collected the title for a second year.
Their team, made up of Nic-ola White, Heather Shutt, Saira George, Shevaughn Gill, were too good for their rivals.
They defeated Wortley High School 5-3, Clayton Middle School 7-1 and Kettlethorpe 6-2.
There was also a great double performance by Bradford Boys' Grammar, who won the under-13s and the under-16 boys trophies.
It is the first time any Brad-ford school have won two titles at these championships.
The under-13 side consisted of Andrew Woodhead, Ste-phen Denny, Fergus Parish and Matthew Cordingley, while the triumphant under-16 side contained David White, Alex Runham, Vishna Hari-Haran and Paul Crabtree.
The winners will represent West Yorkshire in the regional finals, also at Armley, on Sun-day, January 24.
Queensbury performed well, but had to be content with second place in their event.
The championships also thr-ough up a couple of winning family doubles.
Sam Cordingley featured in Lady Park's triumph, while elder brother Matthew played for Bradford Grammar School's under-13s.
The second happy family were the Whites. Nicola played for Bradford Girls' Grammar School's under-13s, while brother David was in Bradford Grammar Schools under-16 success.
The success of the school teams was a reward for the excellent coaching the youngsters have received.
It also underlined the fact that Bradford has a wealth of young table tennis talent.
