A Bradford firm is going for growth thanks to help from a major enterprise organisation.
The Henry Brotherton Partnership, based in the city's Carlisle Business Centre, has been helped by Bradford & District Training & Enterprise Council.
The TEC won European cash and matched it with its own to raise more than £70,000 to help a number of firms under its Targeted Action for Growth initiative including the partnership.
The firm, which was set up seven years by Mike Henry and Adrain Brotherton, specialises in selling filing and storage space for the American market.
Last year the partners decided to design and produce their own goods which were more suitable for home sales.
They came with a product called Sam - a multi-purpose computer rack which cuts down on the space needed to house computer equipment.
The product allows the firm to compete for business but it needed to set up a sales team to market the equipment and was helped with a £2,000 grant from the TEC initiative.
The firm has taken on two new sales reps with help from the TEC's Targeted Action for Growth programme.
Partner Adrian Brotherton said: "We are expecting to triple our turnover in 1999 and have moved to a larger unit at the business centre.
"But we could not have gone ahead with our expansion plans so quickly if it had not been for the financial assistance we had from the TEC."
Denise Hutchinson, the TEC's enterprise manager, said: "The Targeted Action for Growth initiative enables us to help fund small businesses in Bradford's Objective 2 area.
"We can offer financial assistance in support of business plans which include the creation of new jobs."
Anyone who would like further information about the Targeted Action for Growth initiative should contact Denise Hutchinson at the TEC on 01274 751333.
