Towering defender Darren Moore believes Bradford City must not get carried away after jumping to their highest position in the First Division for nearly 15 months.

Goals from Robbie Blake and Lee Mills earned City a 2-1 victory over promotion rivals Wolves which pushed them up to third position in the league table.

The victory also gave City 40 points from just 23 games to leave the Bantams fans dreaming of a promotion charge in the second half of the campaign.

Moore is delighted with the side's points haul at the halfway stage of such a long season but added a note of caution.

He said: "Now we have 40 points it is important that we don't just sit back and think abut how well we have done.

"If we do that we will soon be falling back down the table. We know we need to build on this.

"We need to keep doing exactly what we have been doing so well in the last few months. If we don't do that, it will all have been for nothing.

"The whole squad has worked hard for this but we need to keep doing just that. I know it sounds boring, but we must just concentrate on the Bolton game now and no other."

Moore is one of just three City players, along with Gary Walsh and Peter Beagrie, who have appeared in all 29 league and cup games this season and is relishing every outing.

He said: "From my own point of view, it has been great to play all the games so far and I think I have been playing at quite a consistent level.

"The club has come a long way since I signed with the quality of players improving considerably. We have also got much more resilience now so it is pleasing to have held my place despite all the competition.

"I think we play much more as a team now. We are defending from the front and that is why the hard work the front two do is really paying off.

"We got off to a bad start but we always knew it would take time for all the new players to gel into the side.

"And since that first month we have played some really good stuff."

Manager Paul Jewell added: "We are at the halfway stage now so we need to try and repeat what we have done all over again. And maybe get a few more points as well.

City's Yorkshire derby clash with Sheffield United has been brought forward to Friday, February 19 so it can be televised live on Sky Television. The game, which will now kick off at 7.45pm, was originally due to take place the following day.
