Cross Hills-based P.S. Turner (Construc-tions) Ltd has won a £4.8 million contract to build a new call centre in Sheffield for General Cable plc. The two-storey centre will comprise a large open-plan office with a raised access floor, and underground and external car parks.
The contract - which is expected to be completed within about nine months - is the latest in a series won by Turner with blue-chip clients.
Recent contracts include the completion of a £10 million call centre for Next subsidiary Ventura in Rotherham, and the £13 million Abbey National centre in Bradford. Mike Smith, marketing director for Turner Constructions, says: "The design and build of call centres represents an ever-growing part of our business. This latest contract is another endorsement."
