TEENAGE rugby star Danny McGee aims to lead Yorkshire to their second success -- when they take on Cheshire this weekend.
Danny, 17, is one of only a handful of survivors from last week's 40-7 victory over Lancashire for the Under-18 side.
He will be joined by South Craven School pupil Adam Luccock who joins the starting line-up. He plays his club rugby with Upper Wharfedale.
McGee, plays his club rugby with the Utley-based Keighley club, and has made an incredible impression across a range of sports.
Until recently he played soccer with Bradford City's junior team, but had to make a decision on whether he was to continue as a soccer player or concentrate on rugby. He turned his back on a potential career in professional soccer to play the game he enjoys more.
He has also played basketball, cricket and tennis at a high level and in his younger years was a budding diver.
He is now studying for A levels and hopes to study at art college.
He normally plays at stand-off for his school and club team, but was full back for the county side and kicked two conversions in the team's 40-7 victory in their first Roses match at Harrogate.
Despite the impressive victory Yorkshire selectors have stuck to their decision to give every member of their 25-strong squad a game, and a chance to be assessed by Divisional selectors. they have made 10 changes to the team for this weekend's match.
Cheshire were beaten 21-10 by Durham last weekend, leaving Yorkshire as clear favourites for Sunday's match.
Yorkshire's Undr-16 side ended their county campaign with an 18-17 win over Lancashire Schools at Huddersfield last weekend.
Fifteen-year-old Chris Kennedy, a pupil at South Craven School, has been a leading figure in the County Schools campaign throughout their season. they have beaten Warwickshire 11-3, and Cheshire 22-0 and suffered their only set-back when a strong Durham side defeated them by one point.
Chris is captain of his school side and plays prop forward for Wharfedale Rugby Club.
