Cross Hills 3, Colne Utd 1
Cross Hills bounced back to winning ways after suffering their first defeat of the season in last week's County Cup.
The South Craveners started brightly, but could not maintain the pace which brought them an opening goal. Tosney raced down the left and his half-cleared cross fell at the feet of left-back Green who let fly with a 20-yard scorcher which gave the keeper no chance.
Hills seemed to take their foot off the gas and Colne soon got to grips with the fame. Playing the ball around it wasn't long before they levelled with a deserved equaliser to go in all square at the break.
The pattern of play was much the same in the second half, although Cross Hills started to create chances and it was the finishing of the Hills side which was the difference between the teams.
Lee rattled the nett for the second from close range and Fenton brought things to a close when he latched onto Mulloy's clearance, striking a half volley into the top corner which left Reape happy with the three points, but less than happy with his side's performance.
