Two classic buses will make a historic entrance into Keighley on Christmas Day.
The two Bradford Corpor-ation vehicles owned by Keigh-ley Bus Museum (KBM) were destined for use in Keighley during their heyday, but never made it past Crossflatts.
Now they have been restor-ed to their former glory by KBM members, and are ready to serve the people of Keighley for the first time.
The two vehicles were bought by the KBM in Septem-ber from the failed Transper-ience collection in Bradford.
Once they have passed their MOT inspection, the vehicles will be ready to carry passengers during the KBM's traditional Christmas Day service.
The classic vehicles - still decked out in their original blue livery - have been refurbished by a dedicated team of volunteers at the KBM's depot in Denholme.
The free bus service will run from Lawkholme Crescent in Keighley town centre to destinations across Keighley and Oakworth, Haworth, Bingley, Exley Head, Cross Hills and Airedale Hospital.
A timetable will appear in next week's Keighley News, which according to museum director Graham Mitchell, is where most people look for details. "Far more people know about the service because of the Keighley News," he says.
Timetables can also be picked up in the Town Hall and the town-centre post office.
