Paul Jewell writes: It was always going to be a hard game because Tranmere have done well away from home.
The pitch was also very heavy which makes it difficult. It was never going to be a classic. It was all about getting the result and that is what we did.
Our workrate and desire not to lose the game were probably the most pleasing aspects of the performance for me.
Our keeper made a great save when it was 1-0 and we worked so hard to prevent them getting another opening.
Tranmere beat Sunderland on Saturday so we have to see this as a great result.
They came here full of confidence so credit to our lads for beating them. We could have had a few more because Jamie Lawrence was unlucky not to score with his header.
It was an easy decision to bring Lee Mills back after he missed the Bolton game and he fully justified that.
His goal was a smashing one because the ball was under his feet. I also thought he was great in both boxes.
There is a lot more to Lee than just goals because he holds the ball up well and links our play together.
