Bradford Park Avenue are reviving the popular free admission for children for their local derby clash with Farsley Celtic tomorrow (3.00).
The club are hoping to give their side a boost with a larger than usual attendance. Club official Dave Stordy said: "We have always played on New Year's Day against Farsley so we decided to stick with tradition. We thought other teams would follow and move games to the holiday but, as far as I know, we are the only professional or non-league team playing."
Avenue boss Trevor Storton said: "It's a big game for us as the home side. The division is so tight that a little run from any club would take them up near the leaders."
Phil Sharpe is the only doubt for the home side who have keeper Derek O'Connor back in contention after a bout of flu. The visitors stick with ex-Avenue keeper Paul Allen who has displaced Liam Sutcliffe. Dean Jennings will be missing from Celtic's midfield and striker Scott Jackson is doubtful.
